state of mind
state of mind
To create a sense of movement and flow beyond the page, I incorporated geometric patterns and shapes, drawing inspiration from Japanese art. Wavy lines and organic forms bring the piece to life, evoking fluidity and energy. state of mind explores the fluid, complex, and spontaneous nature of the human mind.
(un)leashed
(un)leashed is a jewelry piece highlighting the restraints abortion laws place on women. Dark red wire flowers symbolize femininity, while the chains represent the restrictions these laws impose, reflecting both pain and confinement, emphasized further by the use of board pins. The piece’s delicate nature speaks to the vulnerability of women and the ways their voices have been overlooked. Clear crystals embody both tears and the resilience of women, symbolizing their continued fight fueled by hope.

hands on
hands on is a wearable piece is constructed with thick metal wire shaped into hands, connected by intertwining thinner wires. I was inspired by a New York Times article addressing police sexual misconduct, which prompted me to explore themes of power abuse and vulnerability. I bent each wire to form hands—a time-consuming but rewarding process. Instead of gluing the parts together, I overlapped and “tangled” the hands to cover the form of a woman’s body, creating an overwhelming visual effect. The numerous hands symbolize inappropriate touching and the pervasive nature of sexual misconduct, while the dark wires evoke a sense of entrapment and voicelessness.
